02/22 Miami Heat’s Supremacy in the NBA Odds Miami Heat’s Supremacy in the NBA Odds Miami Heat’s Supremacy in the NBA Odds
The NBA Finals is on this coming June and almost 30% of the tournament is over. Despite of some great performances exhibited by other teams, the Miami Heat still remains in the top spot of the NBA title odds. Odds makers are actually confident enough on the Heat despite the fact that they haven’t done so well in previous play offs. The NBA odds are still in favor of them maybe because of their excellent record during the previous NBA season. Being a 2010-2011 NBA champion title holder has been an advantage after all.
The 2011-2012 NBA odds record has been updated by the odds makers and the Heat are the +120 “chalk.” They are behind the Chicago Bulls who have 17-2 NBA odds, earning the 2nd spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 15-5. In the overall NBA odds ranking, the Heat are in the 3rd position behind Oklahoma City Thunder with the odds of 16-3.
Heat’s superstar, Dwayne Wade has missed much of this NBA season because of an ankle injury, but has recently returned. Although he was absent most of the season, the team played very well and some even suggested that they were better without him. The Chicago Bulls have also been playing very well, obviously, even with Derrick Rose, Richard Hamilton and Luol Deng all missing some games because of injuries. Rose and Hamilton are now back while Deng still can’t play. Once their players are all back in good health, they are expected to significantly turn things around.
On the other hand, Oklahoma City Thunder havev also played some of the best teams in this season. It really helps to have two legitimate superstars in the team, namely Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
